    When you provide personal data through the Barcelona Marathon registration form, the purpose will be to manage and process your participation in the event, as well as to publish the race rankings according to the established categories.

    Your identifying personal data will also be processed to issue and make available to you a certificate confirming that you have completed the race.

    When you contact Barcelona City Council via the email address provided on the website, the personal data provided will be processed in order to respond to your request or inquiry.

     

    1. What is the legal basis for processing your data?

    The legal basis for processing your personal data provided through the registration form is the performance of the contract arising from your registration and participation in the event.

    The legal basis for processing your personal data for issuing the completion certificate is also the performance of the contract.

    The legal basis for processing personal data provided through the contact email is your consent, expressed by voluntarily sending the communication.

     

    1. How long will we retain your personal data?

    Where processing is based on the performance of a contract, personal data will be retained for the duration of the contractual relationship.

    Where processing is based on consent, personal data will be retained until you withdraw that consent.

     

    1. What categories of personal data will be processed?

    The categories of personal data processed will be:

    • Identification data: first name, last name, ID number, passport or other identification document, license number (if federated), personal image.

    Barcelona City Council has implemented the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your data and prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorized processing or access, taking into account the state of the art, the nature of the stored data and the risks to which it is exposed.

     

    1. Who are the recipients of your data?

    Your personal data may be disclosed to the following entities:

    • RPM Racing, S.L.U. for the purpose of managing the organization of the sporting event. Additionally, if you authorize it, your data will be processed so that RPM Racing, S.L.U. can send you commercial communications.
    • Marathon-Photos.com Limited to manage and provide photography services related to the event, in accordance with the contract signed between that entity and the participant.
    • Public Administrations, where required by law.
    • Royal Spanish Athletics Federation for the processing of mandatory accident and civil liability insurance.
    • Institut Barcelona Esports (IBE) to send information related to its activities, where you have authorized it.

     

    1. What rights do you have?

    You have the right to:

    • Request access to your personal data;
    • Request rectification of your personal data;
    • Request restriction of the processing of your personal data;
    • Object to the processing of your personal data;
    • Data portability;
    • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
